As we approach Earth Day, I figured I should talk about some of the cool Earth-friendly aspects of Sundrop Jewelry! While the giant magnifying glass always gets a "Wow!" from people, the other obvious aspect is my use of recycled materials - especially empty bottles.
One of my favorite colors is this pale blue that I call Water, and people are always amazed to hear it's made from Bombay Sapphire Gin bottles! Water is one of my most popular colors (along with a few other blues and greens), and even though the glass is really pale it has enough pigment to absorb sunlight and melt easily, so I'm always making more drops to be sure I have enough in stock.
